Owner of the APQP process and maintain the APQP workbook;
Analyzing customer returns - concerns and defects found in production;
Preparing and maintaining control plan for components and complete
products;
Supervising effective use of SPC in production and evaluation of results;
Performing Capability Studies and Process Audits;
Performing Gage Studies (Gage R&R, Bias, Linearity and Stability) before gage is approved for production tests or after product change (when applicable);
Preparing the Operator Description Sheets (ODS) for Quality inspection;
Identifying and using appropriate statistical methods;
Preparing PPAP documentation and submission to the customer
A Bachelor’s degree is required (or equivalent experience);
Specific education and training in Quality disciplines including as a minimum
QS9000 or VDA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, MSA and SPC are also required;
Minimum 5 years in the Automotive Industry;
Minimum 3 years in Quality area within production environment of metals;
Knowledge of the Quality planning /APQP and Control Plan standard, FMEA, PPAP, Dimensional layouts, GD&T, gage/fixture design and Performance /Material testing;
Manufacturing Quality system experience and customer communication activities;
Certification in Quality Engineering a plus. QS9000 certified auditor training desirable;
Fluent in English.
