Job purpose:
- To support the SCL in all purchasing related activities within a platform and serve as purchasing lead within a platform
- To coordinate and execute the sourcing process for major project purchases
- To drive cost savings and efficiency targets through material/service acquisitions
- To manage supplier claims and material acquisition risks
- To drive the negotiation of project related purchases
- To ensure compliance to corporate sourcing policy and procedures
Key accountabilities:
- Material OTD (on time delivery)
- Sourcing Timing
- Purchase Efficiency to Budget
- Project Economic Stock
- Level of education: university degree; nonspecific professional qualification required;
- Work experience: at least 3 years of work experience on a similar position (acquisitions);
- Computer skills / PC knowledge: strong knowledge of MsOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet; knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Language skills: Fluent speaker of foreign languages: English is a must, Italian is an advantage;
- Competencies / Other skills: dynamic and proactive attitude, strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure with high degree of self management, high level of maintaining confidentiality, planning & organizing, flexibility in adapting to change, attention to details, accuracy and reliability, sense of urgency, with initiative, interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the organization: sales, marketing, finance; in addition, it is highly desirable to be committed to business performance and to have very good leadership abilities.
- The willingness to travel, the job will require internal and external travels.
