Reporting to the Electric and Automation Project Manager, this position is for an Electric Engineer for the New Mini Mill project located in Oltenita.
The position is responsible for defining electric engineering requirements for design, procurement, installation, training, commissioning and operation of the new facility.
Defines requirements for project turnover documentation.
Ensures all necessary utilities SOP¿¿¿s and PM¿¿¿s are developed and in place as needed.
Coaches, leads and directs other electricians assigned to the project.
Participates in discipline meetings for project planning, scope development, design, construction and startup.
Develops and drives timely decisions on user requirements and design alternatives in accordance with overall project goals, standards and timeline.
Supports project construction, start up, commissioning, and qualification.
Prepares technical inquery specifications, participates tot eh technical / commercial negociations with the possible supplyers. Benchmarks technology against major competitors.
Establish guidelines for continuous risk reduction.
Interacts regularly with suppliers and project team members. Influences overall scope development and communicates with all levels of employees, within and outside the team.
Interacts with the eelctric distribution / transport authorities.
Health and Safety responsibilities:
Checks the engineering documentation / equipments to be conform with the relevant norms and regulations.
Assimilates and observes the stipulations of legislation in the field of Health and Safety and the measures of applying them
To offer support required by the Labor inspectors and Health and Safety inspectors.
BS degree plus 10 years experience or MS plus 4-8 years experience in electrical (preferred) or other engineering discipline in a design/operating/maintenance function with electricity distribution systems.
Must have engineering / operational experience with electrical distribution in steel plants.
Established, technically competent professional who can independently develop and implement solutions to fulfill objectives and goals
Experience on capital projects in engineering/operations/maintenance or other applicable technical role.
Demonstrated ability to work within a cross-functional project team.
Knowledge of specific norms and regulations, safety, and environmental requirements applicable to areas of responsibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organisation.
Computer skills: MS office suite, electric CAD software. Electric simulation software is a plus.
Very good English knowledge.
Native Romanian speaker.
