General
To be the lead engineer responsible for directing and developing all structural design and related activities associated with new projects and modifications to existing offshore project of our client
In particular
Supervision of all structural engineering and associated grafting activities
Preparation of conceptual design studies
Detailed structural design and engineering
Preparation and updating of Company¿s Structural Specifications, Procedures and Manuals
Evaluation of new equipment, vendors and working practices
Preparation of tender documents for structural related items
Preparation of tender documents for Transportation & Installation
Coordination with the T&I contractor
Technical evaluation of tenders
Coordination with governmental bodies, Certifying Authorities and Marine Warranty Surveyors
To interface with all other disciplines within the Operations group
2. Level Authority:
Business Qualification
Degree level in appropriate discipline
Master of Science (M.Sc. / TU) or Chartered engineer (C. Eng / HTS)
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
General Skills:
Requires a sound knowledge of all applicable governmental rules and regulations
The ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines and external agencies at a detailed technical level
Presentational skills necessary in order to be able to address formal, technical gatherings of any group of peers or external bodies
To keep abreast of current technology and regulations in order to be able to keep our clients Specifications and Procedures up to date.
