Our customer is a technology company, active in the Micro-Generation and Smart Grid/Home area. Their main customers are utilities, who use their solutions for the management of large numbers of micro-generation assets and other energy assets like smart meters, heat pumps, etc. Our customer has a flat organisation and uses Agile/SCRUM as its product development methodology.
The Embedded Software Engineer will be part of the core team, responsible for developing customer’s basic technology. The Embedded Software Engineer will work closely together with the Software Architect.
Required Skills / Qualifications
· University degree in computer science or equivalent.
· Proficiency in C and C++
· Familiar with the GNU build system (autotools).
· Familiar with building (custom) Linux systems/distributions.
· At least 3 years of experience with embedded systems and hardware, specifically with respect to communication protocols.
· Team player and self-starter.
· Reliability and persistence.
· Proficiency in English (= company language; all internal documentation is done in English).
