As a Consultant working as a Piping Engineer or Piping Material Engineer you will be responsible for executing the piping engineering activities and ensure that deliverables meet the specified level of quality and completed as per planning. You will have the responsibility to prepare the technical specifications for pipe, piping components, valves and special piping items, which form the basis for the piping related material requisitions. And you have to prepare estimates for proposals and anticipate to scope changes during project execution. You will assess vendor quotations, prepare technical bid evaluations and eliminate uncertainties in the bids, in close cooperation with the procurement department. You have to attend pre-award meetings to clarify and ensure that all essential technical requirements of the subject requisition are fully understood and complied with vendor data review after purchase order placement. As a Consultant you will report to your Business manager and in the project to the Project leader for the duration of the project.

*MSc or BSc in Material or in Mechanical Engineering;
*At least 3 years of relevant experience (oil & gas or petrochemical industry);
*Knowledge to assess detailed material selection;
*Familiar with the relevant software tools for piping calculations like CAD or PDMS, document processing, spreadsheets and databases;
*Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards, such as RToD, EN 13480, ASME Codes, API / ASTM Standards and EU Directives, especially PED;
Salary: between 60.000- 120.000 euros per annum
