Responsibilities:
1) Inspect, diagnose and locate mechanical
difficulties;
2) Replace or repair faulty parts including wheel bearings, clutches, oil seals, shock absorbers, exhaust systems, steering mechanisms and related parts;
3) Tune up engines; replace ignition parts; clean and adjust carburetors; replace such components as generators, distributors, relays, lights and switches.
4) Diagnose and repair computerized control; ignition and cooling systems and power steering.
5) Repair, adjust and replace brake systems including disc, hydraulic and air brakes;
6) Perform preventive maintenance procedures on all assigned equipment; maintain and update records of preventive maintenance and repair work performed;
7) Operate a variety of mechanical and technical equipment including, but not limited to, engine analyzers, battery tester, tire balancer, alternator tester and locksmith tools.
To be a car mechanic, you need:
- An excellent knowledge of motor vehicle technology;
- An aptitude for practical work;
- Good problem-solving skills to find faults;
- The ability to work quickly and pay attention to detail;
- The ability to work without supervision;
- Good communication skills; Knowing English language is MANDATORY!!!
- The ability to follow written instructions;
- An up-to-date knowledge of developments, especially new engine types and electronics;
- An awareness of health and safety regulations.
