One of our clients in the oil and gas industry is looking for a Senior Piping Engineer, preferably from the oil and gas industry. Main responsibilities will consist of:
RESPONSIBILITY:
• Technical management of dedicated design group
• Responsible for sub system engineering of work package iaw BMS/EEP
• Responsible for input to Project BOM
• Responsible for establishment of and progress of E-plan
• Responsible for internal and external interfaces for work package
• Instruct and follow-up Project Engineers/designers
• Responsible for QN handling within project
• Reponsible for adherence to FMC HSE requirements
MAIN TASKS
• Lead department tender team and prepare input to tender cost database
• Use and configure Standard Products and Masters
• Communicate between Market and Department
• Actively ensure that systems solutions and standard products are implemented throughout
• Work with client and project to settle Design Basis, MEL and Field layout
• Respond to clarifications
• Call for MOC and CRB meetings as required
• Define long lead items
PROJECT STARTUP
• Establish project in cooperation with the Project Management according to FMC 60 days Project Startup plan
• Review contract and clarifications
• Review with client and project to settle Design Basis, MEL, Field layout and Scope of work
• Provide drawings for procurement of long lead items
• Establish Project BOM
• Establish E-plan incorporating milestone dates from the project and need dates from suppliers
• Establish qualification and test plans and define test equipment
• Identify internal and external interfaces
• Prepare input to DR-1
PROJECT EXECUTION
• Lead technical team
• Follow up eng hour budget, and provide eng hour forecasts
• Ensure incorporation of lessons learned
• Ensures that systems solutions and standard products are selected
• Ensures that documents, drawings and models are prepared according to E-plan
• Cooperate with Workpackage Manager regarding costs and progress
• Ensure that QNs and tasks are closed
• Liaise with customers regarding technical queries and external interfaces
• Provide status to Engineering Manager
• Identify potential VOR’s and provide technical input to Contract Manager
• Call for MOC/CRB meetings as required
• Call for and execute DR-2 according to BMS/EEP
• Ensure that FMC practices and procedures are used including DR-3
• Coordinate support for offshore installation
• Evaluate in cooperation with Manager SIT, Lead Engineer’s involvement in testing
• Prepare input to Project Close Out Report
KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
• Ensure that experiences from contract, engineering, manufacturing, testing and installation is known within the department and used in future products and procedures on a regular basis
• Propose process improvements
LEAN:
• Propose improvements to products and processes
• mplement accepted suggestions to improvements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science in engineering. Master degree preferred.
• Understanding of mechanical design, testing and fabrication
• 3-5 years experience from project execution including management of technical teams, budget follow up, resource management
• 3-5 years experience in preparing reports and documentation
• Excellent communication skills inside and outside the organization
