Grenland Group Technology’s main engineering centre in Norway has modern office facilities located near
Sandefjord International Airport Torp. Here in Sandefjord, highly qualified personnel is engaged in
multidiscipline projects, design and detail engineering. The company is capable of undertaking the full range
of engineering, from conceptual design to complete turnkey projects.
Engineers – Design of Marine Steel Constructions
Main tasks:
- Design/calculation of details on ships/offshore/subsea units
- Participation in larger project organizations with responsibility for preparing drawings and design
reports within the structural and marine technology disciplines
- Follow-up and installation offshore or at yard
We are seeking engineers with experience within at least one of the following fields:
- Strength calculations of fixed and floating constructions
- Design/modelling of structures in 2D and 3D
- Ship/rig design; hydrostatics
Requested qualifications:
- Experience in design/ construction/ fabrication of ships and offshore units
- Knowledge of dimensioning and control of welded details
- Ability to prepare adequate documentation of work and reports to classification authority
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, and with a high degree of accuracy
- Good analytical reasoning, theoretical approach, communication skills, and a good knowledge of the
English language
- Knowledge of computer software, such as Xsteel, Inventor, AutoCad, PDMS, Ansys, Wamit, Sacs,
Staad, Sesam, Nauticus
