Our Norwegian partner is seeking Designer of Outfitting Steel Structures.
Project description:
Multi discipline design of drill and floor structure for semi-submersible rigs and drill ship.
Design to be in accordance with classification Rules from DNV and ABS and partly Norsok Regulations and NS-EN Standards. The period of employment is 6 month that can be prolonged.
Tasks:
Perform 3D modeling and design of various outfitting steel structures like platforms, walkways, stairs, handrails, ladders and minor equipment supports.
Requirements – Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in design of steel structures and/or outfitting steel for modules/installations within oil and gas industry
- God knowledge in 3D modeling preferable using Microstation CAD software
- Experience in drawing production on Microstation (2D)
- Knowledge in practical design details like joint connections, tubular and plated structures, weld details and material grades
- Knowledge to DnV Offshore standards and Norsok standards
- Very good knowledge of English language
Software:
Bentley Microstation V8i and NavisWorks viewer.
