Our client, international logistical supplier operating 300 Bitumen and Gasoil road tankers in Nigeria is looking for technical superintendent for company vessels.
Your Mission :
* Establishing and setting maintenance standards of the company's managed vessels in compliance with the company's SMS guidelines
* You will be responsible for the technical supervision of a number of managed tankers, tugs and barges.
* To supervise and control technical staff
* To prepare and review vessels' maintenance schedule and budget
* You will maintain vessels adherence to Safety and Quality standards
* Inspect and verify vessels' condition and make regular visits to the vessels
* You will prepare and organize technical projects, repairs, external services, dry-dock specifications and invoices
* You will coordinate technical supplies together with the purchase department
* You will advise management on improving efficiency of all technical operations of vessels.
Your Profile :
* For this challenging position we are looking for a Chief or Second Marine Engineer with previous experience as Technical Superintendent preferably with tankers.
* You have excellent knowledge of Safety and Quality standards of vessels.
* You are a good and reliable hands-on peoplemanager with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Extensive world-wide travel (including Africa) visiting ships for monitoring maintenance, inspections, audits, arranging repairs and trouble-shooting will be part of your work.
* Good knowledge of the English language.
* You will be available 24hrs for vessels communication
