JOB TITLE: PLANNING ENGINEER
REPORTS TO: HEAD PROJECT SUPPORT
LOCATION: WARRI/PORT HARCOURT, LAGOS AND ENVIRONS (WITHIN Nigeria)
DATE: ASAP

PURPOSE:
Incumbent will be responsible for supporting a major project with all Planning engineering aspects from Concept Definition through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning and handover to the Asset Team. The Planning engineer shall act as the interface between the project team and the nominated contractors on all Planning matters.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Support the project team with Planning and Schedule Control Services.
 Support in the development and execution of the planning schedule for the project IN totality and for all the major contracts.
 Develop the baseline schedule for the 502F and investment decisions.
 Ensure that the Planning content of the EPC (turn-key) Tenders/Contracts and a number of smaller contracts are developed in line with the contracting strategy and provide Planning support in the execution of all contracts.
 Ensure that the Work management system processes, procedures, guidelines and manuals are adhered to and ensure compliance with the OPMG (Opportunity and Project Management Guide) and SPDC Project Execution and Control standards.
 Provide SPDC management, third parties and corporate systems with regular information and reports on the Planning status.
 Preparation of both the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and CBS (Planning Breakdown Structure).
 Responsible for the integrity of the project Planning date
 Provide Planning assistance during the review of all project/contractor variation orders, change requests and/or claims.
 Support in the review of contractor claims.
 Responsible to review and accept contractor progress claims prior to invoice submittal.
 The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing a project specific Planning engineering procedure and monitoring project team compliance to that procedure.
