- Monitoring the drilling operations or activity;
- Managing personnel and equipment;
- Delegating work to the most appropriate employees;
- Organizing and controlling evacuation and 'well and rig securing' procedures;
- Controlling the efficiency of the safety equipment, the state of wear of the block crackers and the operating (functioning) of the traveling block safety device;
- Signaling the need of renewing the store of materials and asking the equipment necessary for the rig activities to his superior and, in case of his absence, he provides directly;
- Assuring the application of the established safety regulations and measures and in particular organizing the emergency drills, as well as the safety meetings;
- Co-ordinating and scheduling the activities of workers who drill for oil and gas, operate service rigs or provide oil and gas well services.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- A minimum of two to five years experience in a similar role, working within the Oil & Gas Drilling industry;
- College diploma in drilling;
- Good knowledge of English language;
- Strong commitment to safe working practices;
- HSE, PSI, SMW conscious.
