We recruit qualified nurses on behalf of two British clients operating 15 care homes in the UK. A permanent employment contract is provided..
Each nurse will work under the direct supervision of the Home Manager and will be appointed for a number of services users. Each nurse will coordinate a team of 4-6 care assistants. Good spoken and written English is mandatory.
Main NURSING duties:
- to complete the medical administration records on a daily basis for each service user under supervision
- to complete all daily medication check list as required by the Home Manager
- to undertake medication rounds at prescribed times and ensure sufficient medication is available for the next 24 hours
- to carry our nursing procedures as necessary which may include blood sugar and blood pressure measurement, temperature measurement, urine testing etc
- to record all baseline observations, note any area of concern and implement a plan of care
- to ensure all recording charts are kept up to date, food and fluids in particular
- to prescribe, promote and assist in personal hygiene, mobility, toileting and continence training for all service users in conjunction with the care assistants
- to assist in serving the meals and feeding of the services users and ensure adequate food and fluid intake
- participate in nursing audits as required by the Home Manager
Main ADMINISTRATIVE duties:
- to ensure proper and permanent coverage of the home making the best possible usage of the staff resources
- to deal with short notice absence as and when required
- to assist in teaching care assistants to cary out their duties
- to ensure proper segregation of clinical and other waste materials and ensure they are disposed according to the legislation
- nurse diploma
- minim 3 years' experience as a full time nurse within a medical establishment in Romania or abroad
- good command of English both spoken and written
annual gross salary of 28000 - 30000 sterlings based on 42 hour work week (equiv. to 14 sterlings per hour).
