Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 45,000 basic salary plus benefits

Working with an established international manufacturing company in the development of specialist automotive parts we are now handling their recruitment process for 2 mechanical design engineers.
This company has recently received significant funding and as a result are looking to significantly expand their engineering team.
The Role
Working in the engineering team, you will be focussing on a new product design and development. You will be involved in both the mechanical engineering, CFD, FEA and material selection.
It is important that you have strong experience in performing manual calculations
Previous experience working for an Automotive Supplier or Automotive OEM would be advantageous, however, experience in relevant field would also be considered.
• Develop concept designs that meet customer requirements
• Develop prototype and production designs
• Ensure data releases meet quality requirements
• Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding engineering or technical issues
• Work closely with CAE Engineers, Product Development Engineers, Key account Managers and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose

The Person
You will have a good understanding of the design / mechanical design. There is no specific requirement with regards to the type of software used, but 3D CAD experience will be required. Some of their engineers are using Solidworks.
Ideally our client is seeking at least a Degree qualified engineer, but you must have some professional experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Up to £40,000 per annum
