We recruit for our UK client a well know company, which develops and manufactures the Nordic countries largest selection of tinplate and plastic packaging for the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as personal hygiene and chemical products.
The position of a Machine Operator will entail the following duties and responsibilities:
- The safe operation Can making machinery;
- Change over and setting of can making machinery;
- Change over and setting of associated equipment;
- Carrying out quality control procedures and recording;
- Identifying non-conforming material and isolation procedures;
- Problem solving/reporting to engineering department;
- House keeping/scrap removal and maintaining a clean environment.
The Machine Operator will be expected to work as part of a team on a day to day basis under the supervision of the Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring that all plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with any documented procedures, and the work be carried out in accordance with all relevant Safety Standards in force, so as to provide a safe environment for all employees.
The operation of plant and equipment to maximize output and efficiency in conjunction with our Health & Safety responsibilities and ISO 9000 requirements.
- Relevant qualification and professional experience in a Can factory.
- Intermediate English language level.
- - ¿ 6 / hour.
+ 20% shift allowance for day shift and 50% allowance for night shift
