• Supporting execution of cost-effective automotive electronic product designs suitable for volume manufacture within agreed timing, cost and quality targets.
• Performing design activities including (but not limited to): requirements capture, specification writing, circuit design and analysis, component selection, DFMEA, reliability analysis, prototype builds, development and validation testing, test and engineering report writing, and documentation.
• Day-to-day co-ordination with other design team members, including Hardware, Mechanical and Software, and liaison, where required, with outsourced Validation and Manufacturing partners.
• Interfacing with the customer’s engineering team where required.
• Ensuring that design tasks are executed in accordance with internal and customer quality/process requirements to achieve clean product launches.
Design, development and validation of cost-effective automotive and adjacent market electronic products.
• BSc or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field.
• experience in electronics manufacturing or engineering.
• experience of automotive electronics design experienced gained with either a Tier 1 or OEM would be advantageous
• experience working with automotive quality systems (TS16949 and QS9000 would be an asset
