A hairstylist designs a look and cuts the hair of a client.
Discussing a client¿s needs and wants and deciding on a suitable hairstyle. Arranging for the hair to be washed and/or treated first. Cutting the client¿s hair,
perhaps colouring, perming or straightening the client¿s hair.
Arranging for the client¿s hair to be rinsed and styled.
Either blowdrying and styling the client¿s hair personally or arranging for an assistant to do the task.
Reviewing the finished look and trimming any bits of hair that may still be out of place.
A hair stylist should enjoy playing with people¿s hair and constantly creating new looks. They must know the basics of hair cutting and how to deal with different hair textures. A good eye for colour and shapes is important, as is a steady hand. Being personable helps. Last but not least, a hair stylist should always look smart.
- Experience in Beauty Salon;
- Graduate and certification from an accreditated beauty academy;
- Good level in English;
- 2 references from previous employment;
- Police clearance certificate
