RESPONSABILITATI

The job duties for a CARE ASSISTANT include:

¿¿¿ To be part of the team, whose aims are to ensure that resident¿¿¿s nursing, personal and psychological needs are met on a daily basis.

¿¿¿ To assist residents in washing, dressing and undressing.

¿¿¿ To participate in the basic nursing care of the residents, under the supervision of trained staff, e.g. bed-bathing, pressure area care, mouth care, eye care.

¿¿¿ To assist the residents with their toileting needs,

To change beds, tidy resident¿¿¿s rooms and do light cleaning.

¿¿¿ To help in the serving of meals and drinks, feeding those residents who are unable to feed themselves and ensuring that each resident receives the meal or diet that he/she has requested and is suitable for his/her needs.


CERINTE

The requirements for a suitable applicant are:

- Strong motivation to work in the Care profession

- Commitment to work for at least 1 year (and preferably more)

- Interested in a Work Placement in Care whilst undertaking a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care

- A good command of the English language (conversational level)

- A background in one of the following:
a) Nursing or other hands-on medical field (eg physiotherapy)
b) Social Work or Social Care
c) Working with Elderly or Disabled people
d) Psychology
e) Teaching children or adults who have learning disabilities

Full time contract with minimum 40 hours and overtime potential

¿¿¿ Gross Salary ranges from ¿¿6.05 - ¿¿6.60 /hour depending on training/experience

There is no recruitment fee / commission at all. You will only have to pay for the NVQ course, and this is paid directly to the college. If you have a Blue Card, then you will have no costs at all.
