- ensuring the bar is clean and well-stocked with both drinks and glasses;
- taking drink orders;
- preparing and serving drinks;
- in most cases, collecting payment for the drinks;
- helping to collect and wash glasses;
- in some cases, preparing and serving light snacks.
Bartenders should be strong enough to lift kegs/crates of beer and other drinks. They should have a good memory and be quick in executing orders. A cheerful disposition is always handy, as is the ability to work under pressure. If carrying out cashier duties is part of the job, a bartender must be able to do simple arithmetic. Ideally, a bartender should enjoy and regularly be creating new drinks and/or ways of presenting them.
- Diploma / Certificate;
- 2 references from previous employment;
- Good level in English;
- Police clearance certificate.
