Complete Care (Basic): £60 per day
Incontinence: bladder-slight (either pads or staining)
Bowel-slight (either pads or staining)
Walking: may need occasional pushing in wheelchair or help with aids however mostly able to get around independently
Washing: assisting with bed bath, sponge wash, assisting with bath or shower, lowering bath aid and/or being near by
Dressing: provide help with stockings, socks, buttons etc.
Cognitive functions: occasional reminding to do things
Feeding: needs help with feeding, cutting up food etc.
Advanced Personal Care: £65 up to £70 per day
Incontinence: bladder-catheters, pads, etc
Bowel-occasional soiling, colostomy or incontinence pads
Walking: supervision required when walking, needs to use a hoist and/or is wheelchair bound
Washing: full bed bath, washing when in bath or shower (to include washing hair and shaving)
Dressing: dressing the client
Cognitive functions: needs constant reminding, constant supervision to ensure client’s safety
Feeding: needs to be fed as cannot feed self
Specialist Care: £80 per day
There is not an exhaustive list for specialist care however generally if the service user has severe medical conditions, learning difficulties or mental health problems they may require this more specialist service.
- good level of English
- previous care or nursing experience is essential
- need to be organised and able to work alone and on your own initiative
- ability to drive is preferred
- ability to run a home and cook to a reasonable standard
Duties will include support with all aspects of daily living such as housekeeping, helping people to wash, dress and undress, toileting, bathing, meal preparation and prompting medication.
Working Hours & Time Off
You will be working for 7 days per week and can expect to be available to the client for between 10 and 12 hours per day, although the work will not be fully demanding for the whole of this period. You can expect to have a break of 2 / 3 hours per day.
Food, Accommodation & Travel Expenses
Your food and accommodation is provided by the client and your travel expenses, up to £30 each way, in getting to and from the position, will be reimbursed.
