RESPONSABILITATI

Technical advice and supervision
-Establishing design philosophies and providing technical direction
-Making technical decisions
-Supervision of the civil/structural engineering design, 3D modelling and draughting
-Safeguarding Quality
-Liaison with other Discipline Lead Engineers and co-ordination of technical data transfer
-Review of key drawings, specifications, study reports and design calculations prepared by discipline area personnel
-Champion safety by design
Administration role
-Participate in developing project plans and schedules
-Developing of Structural execution Strategy
-Controlling project schedule
-Managing Group man-hour budget
-Managing manpower loading to satisfy project requirements
-Staffing by skill and experience
-Preparation of progress and status reports and material for meetings with the Client, other project groups or outside companies working on the project as required
-Carrying out all instructions received from the Engineering Manager
-Monitoring changes to the man-hours, schedules and scope of work for discipline area and ensuring their inclusion to the variation system
Leadership role
-Communicate the overall purposes of the project to the Group
-Team building
-Negotiate and rule on engineering differences and design approaches.
-Identification of training needs for personnel
-Ensure that all members of the discipline fulfill the project related PPR objectives
-Champion Object Engineering processes
Interface role
-Interface with other disciplines regarding data transfer effecting timely production of structural deliverables
-Communicate with project management all issues effecting Structural Schedule
-Co-ordination of input from discipline area into the Project Registers and Engineering Drawing Registers, plus liaison with Document Control
-Interface and co-ordinate with fabricator, shipbuilder and third parties involved in the project
-Embrace and respect cultural differences of the various parties involved with the project
Quality Control
-Ensuring that all documents conform to the engineering quality and completeness required on the project and Project Procedures.
-Monitoring and evaluation of the quality of work prepared by discipline personnel including full compliance with Project procedures
-Identification and provision of all documents required for Technical Audits and Corporate review
-Ensuring that corrective actions are taken where required by audits or internal reviews
-Maintaining records of technical documents
-Organising and co-ordinating reviews of externally and internally prepared inter-discipline check prints, specifications and vendor information.
Major Duties
-The main role of Structural Lead Engineer is to define and clarify the requirements necessary for meeting the project and client objectives and to execute the Structural work in the manner that meets those requirements.
-As a senior technical representative on a Project, the Lead Structural Engineer also ensures that the design is safe, feasible from the points of view of fabrication, construction, installation, operation and maintenance, conforms to agreed codes and practices, meets all the requirements of the project design basis and specification and that the work is carried out in accordance with project schedules, budgets and procedures.

CERINTE

-Background and experience in structure engineering of the design of major offshore oil and gas installations and be able to conduct fatigue analysis and motion analysis for Topside module structure.
-Background and experience in structural engineering and familiar with software such as SESAM, SACS.
-Educated to degree/diploma in structure Engineering or equivalent.
-The Applicant should have a structure engineering background with a minimum of 20yrs experience in the Oil and Gas offshore industry. The experience in Gas FPSO, LPG FPSO is more preferable.
-Ability to resolve problems expeditiously to minimize delays, lead a team and ensure project objectives are met by creating a conducive working environment.
-Must be pro-active and possess good inter-personal skills.
