The Senior Piping Material Engineer will support the Lead Piping Engineer (LE). The Senior Piping Material Engineer will undertake the duties regarding piping materials for the LE of the Project.
Major Duties
-Work as a Lead Piping Material Engineer or an Assistant Lead Piping Material Engineer for oil refinery projects and gas processing projects:
-Check and review ITB documents
-Make clarification/deviation lists of ITB documents
-Prepare piping material specifications
-Prepare piping material requisitions
-Prepare piping material technical evaluation reports
-Check and review vendor documents for piping materials.
-Instruct and coordinate subordinates, such as junior piping material engineers
-Coordinate and/or negotiate with clients, vendors and other discipline engineers
Nature and Environment at JGC
- JGC's major business market is in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of process plants, including offsite and utility facilities, in such fields as oil refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, and gas processing and treating.
In most projects, engineering activities center in the JGC Yokohama World Operations Center, where engineering groups are organized, while JGC also uses its branch offices and subsidiary engineering companies for execution of the project.

-The Senior Piping Material Engineer shall have the following minimum experience and knowledge:
-10 years or more of experience in piping engineering, including piping engineering at the construction site
-Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other technical standard such as ASME, API, MSS, NACE, BS
-Knowledge of contractor’s own standards and major client standards, such as DEP, EGE, BP
-Good English communication skills
-Knowledge of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation
