Liaise with the Client HSE Manager to ensure that Client goals and objectives are reflected within the detailed design work scope of JGC. Provide advice and guidance to the Engineering Manager on HSE matters in Engineering and verify that the design adequately incorporates the Client and HSE principles. Provide reports to Project HSE Manager. Provide input to design development on HSE areas to ensure that the philosophy requirements established within the FEED phase are maintained through detailed design.
Major Duties
-Develop and maintain the Project HSE Plan for engineering and ensure that HSE requirements are cascaded throughout the Project.
-Establish Design HSE Philosophy including performance standard of SCE (Safety Critical Element).
-Provide advice and guidance to the Engineering Manager on HSE issues.
-Provide direct input into the design to ensure that the performance standards and the risk profile for HSE developed in the FEED stage is maintained.
-Continuously review the design development including Management Of Change (MOC).
-Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance.
-Manage technical HSE studies, such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, Consequence Analysis, including preparation of procedures, co-ordination of the studies, issuance of study reports, and control of 3rd party consultants.
-Administer the HSE actions tracking system in Engineering.
-Ensure that the risk assessment and management processes are maintained and developed as the detailed design develops.
Nature and Environment at JGC
- JGC's major business market is in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of process plants, including offsite and utility facilities, in such fields as oil refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, and gas processing and treating.
In most projects, engineering activities center in the JGC Yokohama World Operations Center, where engineering groups are organized. JGC also uses its branch offices and subsidiary engineering companies for execution of the project. Relationships

-Experience in Gas FPSO, LPG FPSO is desirable.
