Job Description & Responsibilities:
We require a Senior C++ Developer to technically lead a small high caliber team of 3 developers who specialize in Video & Audio broadcasting application development that delivers live video and audio streams to internet, mobile, ipTV, Hotels and satellite. Within this challenging role you will be responsible for:
· Being the technical lead in your specialist area and the company’s video & audio broadcasting guru !
· Application and system level design and development for live video broadcasting
solutions that deliver live feeds to a 24/7 high reliability, highly scalable redistribution
server serving 10’s of millions of live video broadcasts to an international consumer base.
· Implement requirements, write code, perform unit test, integrate into our distributed video server and follow through the product design/development lifecycle.
· Day-to-day management and mentoring of your team
· Maintenance of existing products (code optimization, bug fixing, new features etc..)
· Development of new video and audio broadcasting applications and algorithms, analyse, review, and re-architect current designs in order to create new capabilities as well as improve performance, efficiency and sustainability using ‘best of breed’ and innovate solutions
· Research & Development in new technologies and methodologies to ensure that both you and the company remain at the forefront of new development
· To work with Product Management in defining new features, writing requirements
documents and to estimate and plan delivery targets for you and your team
· Contribute to the success of the company
Candidate Profile:
· You must be an exceptional developer and system designer for Windows systems,
committed to excellence and work well in a high talent team.
· 4+ years of C++ windows development and 5+ years of working experience
· Good algorithmic and implementation skills
· Experience in managing a small team of 3 developers as their technical leader
· Ability to think out of the box in finding creative solutions to problems
· Understand the need to follow procedures and able to create functional and system specifications
· Good communicational skills and the ability to motivate other members of the team
· Reasonable familiarity with spoken and written English
Skills Required:
· Visual Studio environment (C++)
· OOP concepts and implementation
· Win32 API
· COM/DCOM
· ATL/ActiveX
· MFC
· Networking (TCP, UDP)
· Knowledge in the following areas is a plus:
o DirectShow - Video/Audio capture, filters, codecs
o Internet/streaming specific issues (bandwidth limitation, audio/ video synchronization, etc)
· Experience with MPEG4 video/audio compression and codecs is a plus.
· Familiarity with Visual Basic 6 (User Interface) is a plus.

Remuneration Package:
· Although preference is permanent full-time we will consider minimum 6 months contract
· Salary to attract the very best – final package dependant on experience and skill set.
· Company bonus scheme of one years salary on reaching company target
· 15% tax
· Relocation expenses, work visa (if required) and first months accommodation provided
