This position is based out of the Riga, Latvia office – A fun, vibrant and cosmopolitan 24x7 city far removed from

Job Description & Responsibilities:
- She/He will ensure that technology and product standards are defined and delivered, meeting business and client expectations. The Dev Manager will interact with Program Management, QA, IT and Product Management teams to establish development objectives and timeliness, managing resources to support product deliverables.
The Dev Manager will report directly to the CTO/COO.
· Participates in establishment of architecture and technical standards that are utilized across the technology organization
· Provide overall technical leadership to multiple development teams, be accountable for
their performance and productivity
· Manages and develops a skilled team with thorough knowledge of technologies and
services in 'Software as a Service' environment. Continues to enhance technical skills,
abilities and knowledge
· Responsible for the assessment and hiring of additional development staff. Participate in identifying needs, interviewing candidates, providing performance evaluations
· Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members to achieve
business and customer results and to ensure the team's technology and career
advancement
· Develop strategic and operational plans for the development teams, managing execution, and measuring results. Develops resource plans for the team including utilization,
capacity and capabilities
· Establish development objectives and project timeliness; set goals for the work group and develop organizational capability
· Interacts across the organization with Product Management, QA, IT and the executive
team, communicating developments progress with each project
· Partners with QA management to develop practices and standards that ensure quality solutions are delivered to the customer
· Ensures that software can be deployed effectively and reliably to QA and production
· Supports Project Management by ensuring development estimates are accurate,
technical designs are sound, development resources with the correct skills are assigned
to projects, holds his/her team accountable to follow the established design and
development standards and that they deliver on time and with quality
· Ensures handover to other organizations (e.g., CM, QA, IT) follows the standard
practices established in the methodology. This includes coordination of the handover and
ensuring there is proper knowledge transfer
· Contributes to new products/product features being evaluated and defined within Product
Planning and Management by providing input on technical feasibility and complexity
Skills Required:
· 7+ years in software development experience;
· 3+ years in lead, project management, or software management experience
· 3+ years in web and internet technology
· Experience managing development projects of all sizes and complexities, including large, enterprise systems
· Strong knowledge of various platforms, the agile software development life cycle and
agile product development methodologies and programming languages
· Experienced with assigning development resources to projects; establish staffing objectives and delegate assignments to developers; prepare budgets and staffing
plans/requirements
· Strong communication skills oral and written, ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide audience
· Ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment
· Ability to work with remote technical teams
· Excellent organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
· Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.

Remuneration Package:
· Although preference is permanent full-time we will consider minimum 6 months contract
· Salary to attract the very best – final package dependant on experience and skill set.
· Company bonus scheme of one years salary on reaching company target
· 15% tax
· Relocation expenses, work visa (if required) and first months accommodation provided
