GP / Family medicine doctor
Currently we have a job opening for a Family Practitioner. For this position we require a doctor with an M.D. from a respected medical institution with appropriate specialty training.
A minimum of three years of clinical experience following your residency training is necessary to be considered for the job. In this position you will be treating mainly female patients.
In the hospital you will be involved in consults with female patients that come to the hospital in a Primary Care setting. The patient population is very diverse which means that you will need to have a broad general knowledge of various health issues. You will help patients by offering treatment and advice. Additionally it’s very important to assess the patient thoroughly and to refer your patient to a specialist when the patient is experiencing complex issues that require secondary/tertiary care.
As a family practitioner it’s your responsibility to motivate patients to take measures to solve the health issues that they are experiencing or reduce the risk of relapse (by focusing on prevention, exercise, …). Good communication skills are very important since patients and their family will look to you to inform them about their condition and the treatment, medication or advice that they are offered.
