Gss Ltd. has been requested by a major EPC contractor to provide an experienced Process Engineer to be based in Kazakhstan. Must be willing to travel / relocate as required by Client. Remuneration, which will be dependent upon experience, and T&C's will be discussed at short-listed stage.
Job Responsibilities: Provide pre-commissioning and start-up counsel for a wide range of issues related to a world class refinery, provide pre-commissioning inspection, and sign-off quality verification documents as necessary for various types of process equipment, perform pre-Final Walkdowns of Systems and MOC's with Construction and Contractors, perform Final Walkdowns of Systems and MOC's with Client, assist with clearing of punch list items and obtain Client verification, assist in punch list management, assist with assembly of turnover documentation, verify redline as builts, track the completion of Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and assist in coordination of vendor representatives who are engaged in pre-commissioning activities, using the WBS, determine the appropriate System or MOC designation for each scope of work, maintain and periodically issue a comprehensive database of System numbers including Voided system numbers and cross reference with Client Commissioning priority number, review Client mark-ups of System Turnover Drawings and assist Client in determining these boundaries, evaluate new and revised design documents impacts upon System and MOC boundaries and issue revisions to System Turnover Drawings as necessary, maintain the PFD Master set of System Turnover Drawings, determine systems components for population into the database, provide analysis and preparation of complex documents relative to the work of the Turnover Group regarding issues of a construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up nature. This work might involve scheduling, calculations, and professional document preparation, resolve field process questions and liaise with home office for prompt resolution, maintain database of System Turnover Drawings cross referencing System / MOC numbers, distribute System Turnover Drawings to Company and Contractor personnel, maintain valve number database cross referenced against System/MOC numbers, identify potential MOC scope of work and confirm with Client Area Operations Coordinators, review MOC scope of work and documents prepared by the MOC Coordinator, review as-installed MOC scope of work and determine whether the work requires an MOC revision, participate in Client Hazop reviews and PSSR's for MOC's, where home office engineering has not already done so, identify Proarc documents against System / MOC's, support the Area Turnover Leads, Contractors and Client Completions Managers in efforts to turnover Systems / MOC's, assist in resolving items preventing successful Custody Transfer or Mechanical Completion and assist with Technical Commission and Regulator Affairs document preparation and reviews.
Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be well educated and have a degree / equivalent qualifications and experience. An ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English.
Experience: Ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Process position. Responsible for understanding the many complex process, construction, and precommissioning issues within the project for the purpose of turning over the project to the Client in an orderly manner that will support Client's commissioning efforts. Primary duties include assuring compliance with Turnover Work Process 60-0000 - A-PRO-0083 and MOC Procedure 60-0000-A-PRO-0128.
