The ideal candidate will be able to assume the following activities:
- Design of components/systems including drawing generation under consideration of functional, package, material and manufacturing requirements
- Drawing standard and data check (included test specification and material confirmation from laboratory)
- Participation in design reviews, workshops and program reviews
- Implementation of test results into the component and system design
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years of experience on engine components and assembly design
- Knowledge of Unigraphics CAD system (Pro Engineer welcome) and ASME standard
- Ability to perform simply structural analysis using CAE programs or smart tools
- 3D modelling of components and systems
- Fluent English both spoken and written
General Motors Corp. has opened the new Headquarters and Engineering Center of GM Powertrain in Torino. GM Powertrain develops and produces engines, transmissions and related control systems. It employs about 10,000 employees throughout Europe.
The new Product Development Center in Torino will be responsible for the development of Diesel engines, base engine calibration and engine control software. Currently an international team of highly skilled engineers is hired for the new Engineering Center.
