Our client is a major multinational group acting in the automotive field, looking for a Mechanical / Electronic Cost Engineer with the following responsibilities:
the working location will be in Italy and the labour contract is unlimited;
Drive idea generation (technical and commercial) to support the Cost Management Teams, preparing and leading Technical Expert and Cross-functional Workshops
Drive and support the different functions involved in the technical /commercial cost reduction process and support quick and steady implementation of identified cost reduction opportunities with different Area
Support the Cost Management Teams in screening technical proposal and moving them into validation leveraging on the Cost Reduction Team organization and Implementation Team Coordinators
Conduct detailed reviews regarding commercial improvements for identified potentials by Creativity Teams (Global Purchasing)
Support the product budget and total product cost forecasting process
Prepare Internal and External Review Boards with Cost Management Teams, Product Teams and Suppliers, CEO executive meetings with Top Suppliers by ensuring proper support by all functions, conduct detailed reviews regarding commercial performances by Creativity Team with Global Purchasing.
Degree in Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or Certificate
At least 3 years of experience on engine (high power density) complex components and assembly design
Knowledge of Unigraphics CAD system (Pro Engineer welcome), ASME standard and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of 3D modelling of complex components and systems
Fluent English both spoken and written.
