The appointed person will have the task of working on the design and development of the e-learning platform of the Network and of the system for spreading information among all the partners of the Comson Project, including Politehnica University of Bucharest.
The scientific activities of the ER will cover topics of ¿knowledge media design¿, and will touch the following fields or at least some of them:
* Elements of Communication on web-based systems
* Web Design
* Usability of web sites
* e-learning systems
* Cognitive processes and man-machine interaction
* Streaming and audio-video communication in web environments
* Elements of computer graphics, 3D Java and vrml
* Design and development of multimodal interfaces
* Intelligent agents
* Design and development of semantic web
The ideal candidate should have a PhD or MSc, preferably in Computer Science or in Multimedia Communication, interdisciplinary skills both in humanities
(psychology and communication) and in technologies (computer science and telecommunications) and experience in the e-learning field.
The position will last 3 years and it is financed by the
European Project FP6/HRM/RTN/Comson (http://www.comson.org/), according to

A position for a Computer Scientist/Engineer with experience between 4 and 10 years is open. The host institution is University of Calabria, Italy.
