RESPONSABILITATI

Position: Senior SMT Engineer
Reporting to: Process Engineering Manager

Responsibility:
- Awareness of and identification & selection of leading-edge SMT platform
solutions to support CEL¿s growth and new product lines¿ introduction
- Development of SMT equipment strategy in keeping with evolving product
technology and manufacturing roadmaps for two manufacturing sites (Tuam &
Czech Republic)
- Resolution of daily SMT line performance issues ¿ attend daily Production
Meeting
- Providing technical support across SMT lines
- Support Manufacturing Engineers in 8D problem solving related to SMT
processes
- Generation/Optimising of printing, placement, reflow & AOI / X-ray Programs
- Training technicians & operators across all shifts & equipment, including preemptively with new equipment, to ensure production efficiency is maintained
- Ensuring the Cal & Prev Maintenance Systems are maintained up-to-date at all times
- Provide input to SMT DFM reviews for NPIs
- Co-ordination of the commissioning & validation of new SMT line equipment
- Support RFQ Engineer in assessing NPI SMT capacity & capability requirements.

Key Tasks:

Technical Support Across SMT Lines
-Rapid Response and Resolution of SMT Line problems
- Compiling & Issuing of Open Issues List to the relevant Equipment Suppliers
- Review and analysis of Equipment Event Logs and Identification &
Implementation of Corrective Actions
- Recording & controlling all Software Upgrades to SMT Line Equipment in conjunction with Technical Support Engineers.

Generation of Printing, Placement ,Reflow & AOI / X-ray Programs associated with NPIs & ECOs:
- Support Technical Support Engineer in Programming & Setup of SMT Lines
- Controlling & Recording all changes to Programs through Production Permits,
ECOs, PCRS, Program Optimisations & Software Upgrades
- Generation, Storage & Control of all SMT Line Control Documentation in conjunction with Technical Support Engineer.

Training Technicians & Operators across all Shifts:
- Generation of Training Plans for both Technicians & Operators
- Implementation of Training and Assessment of Training in conjunction with
Training Co-coordinator
- Identification of both Internal & External Training requirements for self &
Technicians
- Ensuring relevant Manufacturing Engineers & Process Technicians are updated on all Technical issues.

Ensuring the Calibration & Preventative Maintenance Systems are
maintained up-to-date at all times:
- Daily, weekly, monthly maintenance requirements
- Monitor implementation of maintenance system i.e. Oper Maintenance
- Calibration/Maintenance Procedures/Records
- Calibration System - computerised
- External calibration requirements
- Training plans for calibration/Maintenance - maximum production Up-Time
- Training requirements - self and technicians
- Planned replacement of critical parts to prevent downtime/breakdowns
- Generate maintenance sheets for all relevant equipment
- Ensure sufficient spare parts stock maintained
- Carryout Daily Review of Equipment Event Logs in conjunction with Mfg Engineers & initiate corrective action.


CERINTE

- Degree/Diploma in a related Engineering discipline (Manufacturing / Industrial / Mechanical / Electronic);
- Minimum 5 Years SMT Experience in a high volume Electronics Manufacturing environment, with particular emphasis on experience in SMT Equipment Programming, Temperature Profilings & Leadfree Process;
- Experience on DEK Printers, Sanyo/Universal Placement, Heller Reflow &
Orbotech/Cyber Optics AOI a considerable advantage, along with technical flexibility and adaptability to encompass to-be equipment;
- Ability to communicate latest DFM requirements to Electronic Design
Engineers;
- Working knowledge of Cellular Manufacturing Design, Takt Time Analysis,
APQP, PPAP MSA, PFMEAs, DFM Rules, 5S & OEE Measurement.

Salary: 50.000 - 60.000 ¿/year
