Position: Senior Customer Quality Engineer
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Key Tasks:
The principal areas of responsibility include and are not limited to:
- In conjunction with NPI Project Team, participate the Advanced Product
Quality Planning activity for projects
- Review customer drawings and specifications with the team and raise ECO¿s
or Production Permits as necessary
- Preparation of the PSW package in conjunction with the NPI Quality Engineer
for the customer
- Visit the customer periodically to discuss project issues as required
- Contribute to the construction of a Process / Design FMEA for new / existing
parts
- Generate Control Plans for new parts using the Process FMEA
- Keep the Control Plan for the customer¿s product up to date
- Ensure that the process defined does not alter without an appropriate ECO or
Production Permit
- Be aware of the performance of the production line for each process
- Contribute to and be the driver for eliminating problems in the process and
improving yields using techniques like DOE, SPC, Pareto analysis etc.
- Work with the Supplier Quality Engineer when problems occur with suppliers
and ensure timely and effective corrective action reports are received
- Contribute to cost-saving activities in the company
- Audit suppliers as and when required
- Perform internal audits to the company¿s published Inter Audit program
- Help develop a team environment at work¿ use Quality Engineering skills and
leadership traits to facilitate this
- Use of statistical tools to produce capability and gauge R&R studies and act
on analysis results arising
- Engineering or Science based Degree with Post Graduate Quality Diploma is
preferred
- 5 years + experience in an electromechanical / electronic volume
manufacturing environment.
- An in-depth knowledge of TS16949:2002, VDA 6.1 is preferred
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills required
- German language proficiency is an advantage
