- Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Reporting to: Team Leader ¿ Software Development
Complete Quality Software design and validation for assigned projects, on time.
- Assist in the development of CEL Software Quality System as assessed under the guidelines
of ISO 9001-3 (TickIT) or ISO 15504.
- Carry out all work to comply we CEL Quality Management System
- Participate in Project Teams and report on Software Development activities as appropriate
e.g. Input to ongoing APQP status reports.
- Assist Team Leader access Software development requirements for new projects and
preparing appropriate Software development plans.
- Assist Team Leader with the following tasks as agreed:
- Reviews of Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications etc.
- Selecting appropriate design solutions and hardware platforms for embedded S/W
development.
- General software & product design reviews and problem resolution.
- DFMEA & FTA activities on assigned projects
- Complete scheduled tasks within assigned projects to deliver Software Development output to
the project team as per agreed Timing Plan
- Contribute to routine Software Design Reviews and Software Acceptance Test activities on a
regular basis
- Contribute to the definition of the Software Development requirements and deliverables with
- Team Leader ¿ Software Development
- Other Software Engineers
- Product Development Manager
- R&D Manager
- Project Manager
- Other 3rd Party Suppliers
- Customers
- Facilitate and contribute to Technical communication with relevant Customers
- Participate in regular status reports to the Team Leader
- Participate in Technology / Supplier / Tool Selection etc. for new developments
- Graduate in Software Engineering or Electronic Engineering
- 4 + years working with embedded software
- Competent in both C and assembly development (IAR, Cosmic, Hitech compilers)
- Experience with embedded software development tools (BDM debuggers etc)
- Experience with Automotive CAN and LIN networks would be an advantage.
- Experience with CAN and LIN simulation tools would also be an advantage (CANoe, CANalyzer etc)
- Experience with various 8 bit & 16 bit micro-controllers ST7, PIC16 and PIC18, Freescale S12
and S12X
- Experience with DSP microprocessors in particular the TMS320DM642 and video
- processing would be an advantage.
- Experience with unit and module, white and black box testing. Automated testing of
embedded systems would also be an advantage.
- High degree of innovation and creativity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- German language and/or experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage
Salary - 35.000+ ¿/year
