In this position, you will be a member of a SoC design team based in Ireland working on leading edge CMOS designs. This silicon design team is involved in the design, validation and layout of leading edge Architecture products. The team is looking for someone to work on the micro architecture and development of next generation SoC products. Responsibilities include but not limited to understanding platform level architecture and define and implement key SoC DFx features supporting Test, debug, manufacturing and validation requirements. Behavioural traits for this position include excellent communication skills, collaborative teamwork, leadership, results orientation and the ability to work effectively across multiple sites.
You should possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with at least 5 years of design or architectural experience.
Required qualifications include:
- Deep understanding of design for test (DFT) and design for debug (DFD) micro-architecture
- Strong hands on RTL design and functional verification experience using Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Scan insertion using Synopsys DC/Cadence RC or similar
- ATPG generation using Mentor FastScan or Synopsys Tetramax
- Knowledge of latest scan structures including compression logic, on-chip clocking modules
- Proven experience of implementing SoC level test clock and reset structures for stuck-at and at-speed scan
- JTAG controllers, memory BIST, boundary scan, analog test control.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Generation of compression logic structures using Mentor TestKompress / Synopsys DFTMax
- Experience of LBIST architecture and test modes
- Experience with TAP insertion, Micro-breakpoint, Burn-in modes and HVM modes is also desirable
