Key deliverables
• Produce the data centre network and network security low level design (LLD) for the new data centre deployments
• Produce migration plan including interim network architectures to migrate from current data centre network architecture to new data centre architecture
• All above to include physical, L2, IP, SAN, Optical networking and security for both inter and intra data centre networking
• Provide technical oversight and direction during build, configuration and integration phases


Technical skills
• Excellent technical presentation and documentation skills
• Knowledge and experience with large scale IaaS Data Centre projects
• Networking design in a VMware based IaaS environment
• Unified Fabric (LAN & SAN) experience
• Design and implementation of MPLS networks
• Knowledge and experience of CWDM, DWDM
• Detailed knowledge of Routing protocols e.g. BGP, OSPF , EIGRP and Multicast .
• Knowledge and/or experience of TRILL/OTV, IEEE 802.1aq/PBB/SPBM, VPLS
• Storage Area Networks, Fibre Channel , FCoE ,
• Experience designing firewalls and load balancers solutions
• Datacentre security and network operations knowledge including VMware based virtual networking - setup, configuration, operation and management
• Very good knowledge of relevant network protocols / standards (ITU/ ETSI/ IETF etc)
• Industry certification desirable – e.g. CIEE or equivalent
• Proven ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and vendor community in developing solution options
