Project description
The project involves a Refinery Expansion. The refinery commenced operation in December 2009. However, the demand for petroleum products has been rising rapidly in recent years. It is proposed to expand the refinery with the addition of a new pre-flash unit and a gasoline block plus associated offsite and utility facilities.

Construction has started and is expected to end first quarter 2013.
Size of project
Project value is approximately USD 200,000,000.
Job responsibilities
1. Project realization
Take responsibility for the coordination of activities and direct the construction supervisor(s), as well as identify delays and take any corrective measures, in order to complete the construction phase in one’s own disciple according to the required standards.

The client is looking for a ‘fixer’, so helping the project to make progress. This means that if you need something from the Tebodin Dubai office, they expect you to pro-actively chase the office.
2. Quality
Coordinate quality controls carried out by the construction supervisors, in accordance with general technical guidelines, applicable standards, requirements, laws, regulations and specifications, in order to ensure that the intended quality of the work is achieved.
3. QSHWM
Supervise implementation and check compliance with OHSE-standards, in accordance with Tebodin’s policy declaration, the building site’s health and safety plan, specific client demands and legislation and regulations, in order to secure the health and safety of all staff on the building site and prevent unsafe situations and accidents.
4. Additional work
Check for additional work and report this to the Construction Manager / Project Manager, in accordance with the interpretation of the specifications, material outlays and applicable unit prices, in order to monitor costs and make these transparent.
5. Reporting
Report on the status of the work to the Project Manager, taking account of the needs and interests of the various parties involved, in order to coordinate the activities in the construction phase of the project and promote progress and efficiency.
Educational qualification
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Work experience:
20+ years experience in construction managing roles in EPC - medium to large size Oil & Gas projects (tank farms and terminals), petrochemical, refinery, heat exchangers etc.
Experience in Gulf countries preferred.
Salary and other conditions
Working week is 6 days, 60 hours per week.
The client will provide accommodation and transport to site. The transport may be a bus service for the employees.
Duration of contract
Start date shall be as soon as possible.
The duration of the current assignment is expected to be 6 to 9 months.
The candidate will be employed for the duration of the project only. After project completion, the contract may be terminated.
