Responsible for providing high quality consulting services and functional specifications on all project assignments. Works as part of the development team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches customer requirements. To coach and guide development staff to work with a standard of code and towards the business requirement of one platform.
Key Result Areas
* Actively participate in the requirements, design and build phases; focused on high quality deliverables
* Assist with planning and execution of projects and maintenance of existing systems and products
* Have an advanced understanding of up to date development methodologies, techniques and patterns (Webfusion uses Perl and .Net)
* Facilitate knowledge transfer of these techniques to the teams
* Assist in the identification of enhancements to the core base products and platforms
* Complete work in time / effort budget. Provide proactive update to Management if timelines or effort estimate are in jeopardy
* Provides regular updates to Management on project progress and outstanding issues
* Other responsibilities and key result areas will be assigned as required

Minimum Level of Education/Experience
* Relevant degree with at least 3 years of experience (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
* Experience in analysis, design, development and deployment of large scale Microsoft and Linux applications
* Experience with relational databases (Webfusion uses MSSQL and MySQL)
* Strong OO experience
* Intimate knowledge of ISP or Hosting market
