Join our QA Team in Embarcadero Iasi office in order to contribute lead one of the teams that will assure the high quality of our Java Development tools. Bring your contribution for assuring that our customers, big community of java developers around the world, can rely on our development tools in order to get high performances.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Test Case development, including automated and manual testing and deciding how things are tested
• Has a good understanding of the QA process and test framework
• Good knowledge of the product being tested
• Helps in prioritization of bugs
• Provides guidance and leadership to teams on how and what to test
• Ensures consistency across teams as it relates to the Test Plan and QA Process
• Collects metrics regarding QA activity and issues, reports information based on standard templates
• Communicates risks
• Has authority to work with teams to realign resources so that project testing goals can be kept
• Works closely with QA Management and Software Development manager
• Reviews test cases and automation
• Participates in team meetings
• Helps to define testing scope and creates visibility around tradeoffs
• Ensures the Impact Map is updated and used
• Responsible for defining functional testing, negative testing, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing, international testing, and more
• Closely work with the project manager, team lead and developers to build competitive software tools
• Develop and maintain a repository of regression test cases, performance /stress test cases
• Create reports regarding the product’s quality at the end of every cycle (sprint, milestone, release).
Requirements:
- Experience in software testing – min. 2 years ;
- Experience with coding in Java (Experience with JBuilder is a plus);
- Writing test cases, test plans ;
- Experience with using test case management tools (i.e. TestLink, QaTraq) ;
- Experience in bugs prioritization;
- Experience with automation, writing and running them (preferably Java-based products, experience with Window tester desired);
- English language – strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience with agile development methodology, scrums, etc.
- Leadership and team playing abilities required;
- Experience in leading a team of QA engineers towards meeting their dead-lines along with high-quality releases;
