RESPONSABILITATI

Provide subject matter expertise in implementation and configuration of the XOS suite with specific focus on Xerox Services Portal (XSP) and Xerox Device Manager (XDM)
Technical advocate for the technology; has an in-depth understanding of the operability of at least one platform (EPS, BPS, DOCS,LINKS)
Create solutions and provides best practices to XGS in response to requests for deployment of technology (EPS, BPS, DOCS, LINKS)
EPS Tools UAT for XSP
SME for XSP related configuration, processes, policies
Backup SME for Xerox Device Manager (XDM)
Provide technology support to pre-sales, Service Delivery and PS&I groups: SOW & contract review for technology compliance, implementation feasibility & resourcing
Write supporting field documentation (e.g. Deployment/Best Practices Guides, User Guides, Evaluation/Certification Guides, Operations Guides, process work flows, etc.)
Build strong, trusting relationships with technical leads within XGS Europe, FX,North Americaand DMO regions
Cooperate with GTOD and wider Xerox Special Project Support
Assist Xerox field operations with implementation of onsite installations.
Assist Xerox OCA team on XSP related queries.
Participate within Lean Six Sigma and ITIL activities that impact the field and/or standardize processes

The role

The Software Engineer supports the XGS Europe technology strategy. The individual will aid in the support of all versions of the EPS Application Suite, as well as other technologies employed by the Xerox Europe region.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Complex Problem Solving/Troubleshooting skills: Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop then evaluate options and implement solutions
Documentation skills: Able to write technical documentation (solution design, implementation proposals)
Presentation skills: Able to create and present on subject matter to internal & external customers
Technical skills (Development): Strong knowledge on Web development technologies. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML are essential.
Technical Skills (OS & Networking): Knowledge on Windows OS platforms (XP/Vista/7), basic knowledge on Networking Services and Protocols.
Design Skills: Knowledge of standard graphic design applications (Paint.net, Photoshop) to complement XSP/WEB development.
Team skills: Passionate/motivated to excel on a project, assertive when necessary, can take-charge & do-whatever-it-takes to make a project successful; willing to roll-up sleeves to dig into the analysis of problems
Leadership/Trust skills: Be able to work well with minimum supervision and know how to utilize empowerment, while also following direction of management
Must possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the software platform, including its feature set, its limitations, design, and architecture. Willing and able to learn new technologies and concepts quickly in order to advance service deliverables
Critical Thinking Skills: Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Innovation skills: Innovate the software towards customer-facing improvements (service and technology catalogue)
Communication Skills: Possess excellent negotiating and conflict resolution skills when working with development; not afraid to voice opinion in the presence of non-agreeing team members but does so with good interpersonal skills.
Because this role has involvement with members of teams outside of the home country, the Software Engineer should be cognizant of international cultural differences. This will periodically require calls outside of normal business hours, or coordinating calls so that other regions can participate. Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are not required
