You should be very comfortable writing code in PHP and familiar /experienced in Magento. Programming is not only your job but also your passion.
Required skills:
Strong knowledge of PHP5, MySQL and JavaScript
Familiar with at least one PHP e-commerce platform, preferably Magento
Strong OOP knowledge and high coding standards
Degree in computer science
Detail oriented, organized individual with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Good communication skills
English language – advanced level
Proven experience:
Relevant experience in designing, implementing, developing and delivering advanced web applications;
At least 2 years experience in a similar position, 1 year in Magento
Work portfolio
Code sample of a module or component developed by the candidate, written using the preferred PHP Framework.
Advantage:
Experience with Zend Framework is considered a plus
Hands-on experience with several design patterns
Experience with Agile / Scrum
Experience with versioning systems (Git, SVN or Mercurial).
