One of Australia’s most innovative online marketing agencies is looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our team, managing the process of developing and launching performance-based website designs that produce sales. As the Web Developer, you’ll also be involved in the development of iPhone and Facebook applications.
You will need to be an expert in Joomla / Drupal, XHTML and PHP with a strong understanding of website usability, interaction design, social connect techniques, and e-commerce requirements. Magento experience highly regarded. While PHP is our preferred codebase, we are not locked to any particular CMS or application types... our goal is to provide an optimum solution that meets respective clients’ needs.
You will be working closely with designers, marketers, copywriters and other developers to develop and launch a high number of projects at any one time.
This is a great opportunity for a developer with ambition, focus and creative thinking skills to grow into a Technical Lead role very quickly.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Work with the design team to develop and launch websites in a variety of industries
• Ad hoc development tasks on existing websites – both large and small
• Liaise with the marketing team for copywriting, analytics and search engine optimisation integration
• Managing the launch process including DNS updates and hosting transfers
• Work with the design team to develop iPhone and Facebook applications
• Work with various CMS systems including Magento, Joomla and Business Catalyst
What You’ll Need
• +3 years web development experience
• Expert knowledge of Joomla / Drupal, XHTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL and JavaScript
• Ability to work to clear deadlines and to multi-task effectively
• Ability to manage and communicate well with the team at large and clients
• A strong understanding of UX and UI
