To research, specify, develop, test, maintain & support high performance internal and product related systems for the Hosting business unit.
Your daily task include:
• Design, develop, maintain and support software as a member of the Webfusion's Product Development Team.
• Ensure software under development is managed with appropriate source code control and release processes.
• Ensure software adheres to relevant coding standards and is documented using internal systems.
• Interact with the product managers to gather requirements, deploy and when relevant support our systems.
• Work with Hosting Operations when researching & designing new products as well as offering support to ensure relevant SLA’s are met.
Required:
• University degree or equivalent level education in Computing or a related discipline
• Minimum two years experience developing applications using Microsoft toolset as a primary job role.
• At least 3 years C# .net experience
• Experience of creating “n” tier applications
• Above average knowledge of MSSQL server including DB design, and use of stored procedures and triggers
• All round web development skills; HTML/DHTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Working knowledge of MS Office (incl Powerpoint) / Open Office
• Punctual and professional approach
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
• experienced at working in a team environment.
Desirable:
• Experience of creating multi threaded applications.
• Exposure to service oriented architectures (SOA)
• Microsoft Certified Developer or/and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
• Exposure to UML / OO design
• Basic sysadmin and networking skills
• Willing to take on greater responsibilities as the company develops
