RESPONSABILITATI

We are seeking a talented DBA to engage in all aspects of the development process.
DBA is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database and will lead all database management functions and participate in the design and implementation of high performance and high reliability databases. The individual will provide 24x7 support and engage in the database architecture decisions:
• Analise and resolve or recommend solutions to highly complex technical problems such, as performance issues, reliability issues, and data quality issues.
• Build database(s), maintain database baselines, support application requirements, testing and implementations.
• Prepare status reports to accurately communicate progress; provide early notification of problems that could affect schedules, or the integrity or availability of data.
• Develop support tasks scripts or tools to automate.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities

Install and upgrade client databases
-Prepare and review SQL and PL/SQL scripts
-Support network administrator with database administration of internal IT systems
-Create and modify database structures
-Enroll users and maintain system security
-Back up and restore databases
-Help with system administration, configuration and troubleshooting for Summit application servers and components

Required Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years experience administering Oracle (10g and above) and supporting RAC in a large, production environment.
• Oracle 11g administration experience.
• Oracle RAC implementation experience.
• Installing, upgrading and maintaining Oracle database systems and experience using enterprise level tools including Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM) and RMAN for Oracle database backup and recovery administration.
• 4-6 years in IT operations with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Experience with server-client computing and relational database environments
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
• Technical documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or other related field
