Siemens VDO is developing a new, high efficient brake by wire system which can be run in a 12 Volt car network.
For the development of a wheel based system "Wheel Unit" a design team is being build up which supports a German team from IASI for car and industrial applications. Hereby, the design team in IASI supports the development with design of variants of an existing wheel brake concept and creates drawings for car applications, customers and suppliers.
Job Description:
The "IASI Mechanical Design for Electronic Wedge Brake" supports development, design and provides drawings for new parts and assemblies in the Project Electronic Wedge Brake (EWB) with regard to function, costs, packaging and mass reduction.
In your role as a design engineer you will design variants of mechanical wheel brake components. You must be strong in mechanical engineering, able to understand mechanical strain-stress fields and able to provide simple solutions for complex requirements.
Competences
mechanical engineering faculty graduate.
know how in designing parts and assemblies and derive drawings with CAD systems
Pro/Engineer Wildfire knowledge is a plus
good understanding about mechanical and cinematic interdependencies
good communication skills
good English language skills
You like to work in a big network with other engineers and technicians
