Job summary
You will spend most of your time designing, developing and maintaining software solutions, or leading a development team, contributing with improvements in the overall software development process. You will make sure that developers follow determined guidelines and best practices and you will provide technical support and advice to them.
Ideally your qualifications and skills should include:
• University degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• 5+ years of software development experience in Java
• 2+ years database experience (MS SQL, Oracle or other)
• Knowledge in J2EE (2+ years), Spring framework, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SVN, Apache web server, Tomcat Application Server
• Knowledge of English on C1-C2 level (Common European Framework), with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand client’s requirements and needs
• Proactive, result driven, creative and open person with strong client and team orientation
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Analyze and translate requirements into solution design based on approved architecture; participate in architecture review; provide feedback to the client and the team
• Lead a development team through all phases of the project lifecycle including: design specifications, development, QA, documentation, release
• In accordance with company coding conventions, approved designs and project standards, perform qualitative coding, code commenting, debugging, bug fixing, testing and unit-testing, and other supplementary related activities
• Provide/manage tasks estimations and work effort, interact with Project Manager, Information Analyst, QA, clients
• Participate in pre-sales process: creating estimates, assumptions, identifying development risks, proposing solutions
• Participate in creating/updating/reviewing technical documentation (e.g. Functional Design, Interaction Design, Technical Design etc.)
