Context of the job:
As a JAVA J2EE Software Engineer, you will benefit from the support of a dedicated Java team with talented specialists. In this collaboration, you will bring your Java expertise and we will bring interesting opportunities as well as various trainings on related frameworks.
Examples of such on-going projects:
Java J2EE complex project which involves integrated solutions of geo-localization, using GPS and GSM services on a web platform; it is based on the interesting concept of “car sharing”. Partner: web software engineering leader, with around 100 sites developed in 4 major versions. The communication between these sites and the database is ensured in real-time, using RFID.
Java web development solutions targeting international wide telecommunication operators. These solutions handle the whole charging, rating, billing chain from the network to the actual bill, printed or electronic. The operators can also manage their points of sale, their partners for content or roaming, and also their suppliers. Partner: company based in Germany, worldwide leader on the billing, rating and customer care solutions for mobile, wired or IP telecommunications.
Web application for e-commerce, using MAC OS technologies which enable the direct and efficient communication on iPads. Partner: well-known German service provider in medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary and consumer goods domain. This company has a strong R&D department for dedicated IT development in order to ensure an efficient communication between patients and specialists.
Technical aspects involved – training offered where needed, depending on the project:
- Java J2EE, inlcuding the latest version Java 6;
- Associated frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse RCP, JUnit;
- DataBase : Oracle / MySQL;
- Application servers : Tomcat and/or JBoss;
- Development environment : SVN, Eclipse, GWT Designer, Maven;
- Others : JPA, Dozer, GWT, EXT-GWT, ESB-ServiceMix, Concordion, Jibx; Trac, Hudson, NSIS, Enterprise Architect.
Your role inside the team:
As a Java J2EE Software Engineer, your main responsibilities inside our team will include:
- Participating in all the development phases: from gathering and documenting user requirements, to analyzing data, writing technical specifications, programming code and conducting quality assurance testing;
- Suggesting technical solutions in a proactive approach;
- Sustaining with appropriate arguments a solution, while taking into account both its advantages and limitations;
- Ensuring bug-fixing, maintenance and proper documentation.
- Minimum 3 years of software development experience in Java;
- Good knowledge of Java J2EE;
- Computer science university background or equivalent;
- Advanced English and/or French required.

Grupul Pentalog a realizat in 2007 o crestere interna de 67% si o cifra de afaceri de 5,5M?. La inceputul anului 2008, echipa Pentalog numara deja 200 de persoane.
Datorita acestor indicatori pozitivi, preconizam pentru 2008 crearea a numeroase noi posturi in toate agentiile noastre din Romania si Republica Moldova, o crestere de 40% din efectivul actual.
