For our Engineering Location Iasi we search for dynamic and motivated people to join our Powertrain Electronics department.
The Powertrain Division integrates innovative, efficient drive systems in vehicles. Our goal is to continuously increase performance and drive comfort, while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and emissions. We do this by advancing the development of ultra-modern petrol and diesel fuel injection systems, engine management and transmission control systems and hybrid drive components and systems a little more each day. With a workforce of 27,000 and a turnover of over 5 billion euro (2006), our trailblazing ideas have already set new standards and are all set to drive the future too.
The Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) represents the greenest, most economically, feasible option of personal transportation currently available on the market. It combines an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, providing high fuel economy, improved driveability and reduced emissions. In HEV team you will be involved in defining the future of this technology by developing the SW which controls the combustion engine and the electric motor.

For the HEV control units you will
- be responsible for software and function development of different functionalities.
- be in charge to design, develop and test software for functionalities in the automotive industry mainly related with hybrid electric systems. This gives you the chance to apply your electronics, physics as well as your control and automation know-how
- will test your software by running in a real environment (systems with microcontroller mounted on cars). The software implementation will be done in C. The functionalities are tested against the customer requirements.
You will work with professional simulation and calculation tools on a daily basis. For verification and validation you can use a pool of high quality measurement equipment in order to meet Continental Automotive quality standards and process requirements.
You will join a young and motivated team to support our world wide developed projects for automotive customers.
A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
University degree in a relevant field (i.e. automation and control, computer science, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, mecatronics ...)
C programming knowledge
Medium knowledge in Mathlab/Simulink
Medium microcontroller know-how
Basic Knowledge about automated control systems
Electrical motors knowledge is an advantage
good English skills in writing, reading and speaking
