- Promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on customer machines;
- Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment;
- Commission of new equipment;
- Train customers and Company personnel as required, in the general operations of their machines;
- Order spare parts for service orders;
- If required plan and organize daily and weekly visit schedules;
- Be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations in the Service Centre and on site;
- Apply good standards of engineering practice at all times;
- Take part in call out shifts;
- Maintain test instruments and tools, to ensure they remain in good condition;
- Effectively promote the Company Compressor company image;
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills;
- Perform related duties as required.
On behalf of our client, world leader in industrial equipment, we are searching for an experienced Field Service Engineer.
- Ability to use technical/professional knowledge and information also from English documentation;
- Ability to reason logically and to recognize assumptions to evaluate options and reach sound decisions;
- Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business;
- Ability to express ideas and receive and exchange information clearly;
- Ability to establish and implement a systematic course of action to achieve an objective effectively and efficiently;
- Ability to maintain clear focus on customer satisfaction; take action when needed to meet the expectations of the customer.
- Able to maintain organization, ethical and social values in all business activities;
The following requirements are desirable:
- Able to identify alternatives to current thinking; ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems.
Experience requirements:
- Mechanical / electrical background minimum 3 years experience in mechanical engineering;
- PC literacy;
- Refrigeration and compressed air experience are an advantage;
- Sound knowledge of electrical / electronic controls (PLC, converter controllers) is desirable.
