As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, helping Embarcadero QA team improve their performance and better satisfy our clients by increasing performance, security and quality.
You will work with various Embarcadero Products specific QA tools and Application Virtualization software techniques. You’ll have to write test-plans, execute test cases investigate and understand performance and usability issues, repost bugs and consolidate reports.
• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, FEAA Business Information or related field.
• Previous experience in Software Development/SDET or QA field
• Good understanding of virtualization technologies (like VAS2009, VMware ThinApp, Symantec EVS, Micrososft App-V, InstallFree Bridge, Citrix XenApp) and application virtualization comparison (actual experience with virtualization solutions is considered a plus)
• Working knowledge and understanding of the Windows registry, including machine profiles, user profiles, and software registry entries.
• An understanding of DLLs, program executables, shared libraries, and command-line parameters.
• Working knowledge of setting up and configuring Windows applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Good database knowledge
• Experience with client/server architecture, web application, performance and/or scalability testing are considered a plus
